The foundation for the school was laid in 1985 and was run by some members of the Anglo-Indian community who lived near Park Street. After they left India, the school was almost close to being shut down when an alumnus of the school – Mr. Imtiaz Rahman – took over the responsibility of running it in around 1999. He re-oriented the school to serve children from low income communities and partnered with NGOs in the area for the same. Since the turn of the century,
Our late principal Mr Imtiaz Rahman has taken this school from the brink of closure to a height of success. Currently the school hosts almost 300 students and has a working staff of 20. The school runs from Montessori till class 10 and prepares for Madhyamik and ICSE board examinations.
We aim to provide qualitative education for the holistic development of students of all communities. Our students keep their ideals high and strive for excellence in every field.
We endeavour to inculcate within them the value of freedom and its judicious use. Thus, our school motto instils in the children the belief – I am born for greater things!
